Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior Motion Graphics Specialist to create high-quality animated content for global events, campaigns, digital platforms and brand communications.
This is a craft-focused role for someone with strong motion design fundamentals, a sharp visual eye and the technical ability to bring static creative concepts to life. The successful candidate should be capable of producing polished, considered animation that goes beyond basic transitions, template-driven content or simple shape movements.
Experience editing videos and integrating motion graphics into live-action or AI-generated footage would be a strong advantage. The candidate should also be comfortable using generative AI tools for image, video, audio and creative production. Our projects move quickly and span multiple formats, platforms and international events. The role requires someone who can take ownership of projects, interpret creative direction and consistently deliver work to a high visual standard.
Job Description
- Conceptualise, design and produce high-quality motion graphics and animations for event screens, social media, digital campaigns, promotional videos and other branded content.
- Translate static key visuals, brand systems and design concepts into engaging motion experiences.
- Develop original motion treatments using strong principles of timing, composition, typography, transitions, pacing and visual storytelling.
- Create work that goes beyond template-based animation, basic slideshow treatments and standard preset effects.
- Adapt motion content across different screen formats, aspect ratios, durations and digital platforms.
- Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, content teams and project stakeholders to develop motion concepts aligned with the intended creative direction.
- Incorporate feedback accurately while maintaining the overall quality and consistency of the work.
- Manage multiple motion projects and production timelines, including fast-turnaround requirements during major campaigns and event periods.
- Maintain organised project files, animation systems, templates and reusable motion assets.
- Ensure all deliverables follow the relevant brand guidelines and technical specifications.
Video and Post-Production
Video editing experience is an advantage. Candidates with this capability may also be required to:
- Edit promotional, event, interview and social media videos with a strong sense of narrative, rhythm and pacing.
- Integrate motion graphics, animated typography, transitions, effects and branded elements into video footage.
- Work with music, sound effects, voiceovers, colour treatments and footage to create cohesive final outputs.
- Combine live-action, stock and AI-generated footage into polished video content.
Generative AI Capabilities
- Use generative AI tools to support image, animation, video, audio and creative production workflows.
- Generate and refine visual assets, footage and creative treatments using tools such as Runway, Veo, Sora, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly,
ElevenLabs or similar platforms.
- Apply strong creative judgement when working with AI-generated material, including maintaining visual consistency, correcting artefacts and
ensuring the final work meets professional production standards.
- Explore new AI-assisted workflows that can improve production efficiency without compromising creative quality or
originality.
- Understand that AI generation is a production tool and not a replacement for strong motion design, editing and visual storytelling fundamentals.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Animation, Visual Communication,
Multimedia or a related field.
- At least 4 to 6 years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation or a closely related discipline.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating advanced motion design skills across different styles, formats and
applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for preparing and adapting design
assets for animation.
- Good understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, transitions, pacing and visual hierarchy.
- Experience developing custom motion treatments rather than relying primarily on templates, presets or basic animation effects.
- Experience using generative AI tools for image and video creation.
- Ability to interpret creative direction and independently develop polished motion outputs from concept through final delivery.
- Strong attention to detail, file organisation and quality control.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Advantageous Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong video editing and post-production capabilities.
- Experience integrating motion graphics into live-action video.
- Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender or other 3D animation tools.
- Knowledge of sound design, audio editing and music selection.
- Experience producing content for large-format event screens, projection environments or experiential installations.
- Familiarity with Figma and collaborative design workflows.
Portfolio Requirements
Applicants must submit a portfolio or showreel demonstrating:
- Original motion graphics and animation work.
- Strong use of typography, composition, timing and transitions.
- Examples that go beyond basic slideshows, Canva animation or template-driven content.
- The candidate’s specific role and contribution to each featured project.
- AI-generated or AI-assisted work, including an explanation of how AI tools were used in the production process.
- Video editing examples should also be included where available.
